I stayed for 2 nights as a solo traveler, mainly to visit nearby attractions like the Yasaka Shrine and the Kyoto Tower, which were just a pleasant walk away. The onsen and spa are top-notch, offering a soothing experience after a day of exploring. I also loved that the well-equipped capsules had personal lockers for my belongings. Overall, the cleanliness and comfort exceeded my expectations for a capsule stay!

The onsen facilities offered an incredibly soothing experience, with both indoor and outdoor pools to choose from, enhancing my relaxation after a day of exploring Kyoto.
Unfortunately, the common areas were often crowded, especially after 9 PM, making it challenging to find a quiet spot to wind down.

great amenities but noisy common areas
The spacious capsule offered excellent amenities, including a TV that became my refuge after a day of sightseeing. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and willing to assist with any requests. Also, the onsen facilities, both indoor and outdoor, were a highlight of my stay, providing a relaxing experience, even with the cleaning schedule on Monday afternoons.
However, the common areas were quite noisy, making it difficult to find a peaceful spot to unwind.

I was impressed with the amenities available at Capsule Hotel Anshin Oyado Premium Resort Kyoto Shijo Karasuma. The free miso soup all day, access to an on-site onsen, and a surprisingly comfortable capsule with a flat-screen TV made my stay a delightful experience. Plus, the wide array of toiletries and beauty products available was a treat for someone who forgot their favorites. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the bustling streets of Kyoto!

The facility maintains absolute cleanliness, with daily cabin cleaning and an impressive range of complimentary beauty products in the washrooms.
There’s a strict silent rule on the capsule floors, limiting activities and making it a hassle if you have a lot of luggage since you can’t unpack inside the capsule. Noise from adjacent capsules is noticeable, especially early in the morning, which can disrupt sleep quality. Getting to the luggage area on a different floor requires careful planning, and you'll need to undress in public showers, which may not be suitable for everyone.

I stayed in a Standard Capsule Room for Female for 1 night, and it was surprisingly comfy! The capsule was clean and included a TV, which was perfect for some downtime. Loved the complimentary beauty products in the washroom. Just a heads up, the common areas require you to keep it quiet, so talking to friends can be tricky if you're not outside.

Just a good pick for a weekend stopover in Kyoto with fantastic value. The capsules were roomy and you had a TV inside to relax after exploring the city. Be mindful that common areas are quiet zones, so find a spot outside if you need to have louder conversations.
